Sprue Wax

Sprue wax is an important material in the casting process because it allows the molten metal to be poured into the mold in a controlled manner. It also helps to ensure that the metal is distributed evenly throughout the mold, resulting in a high-quality casting with a good surface finish.

In the casting process, a pattern is made of the desired part. This pattern is used to create a mold, which is typically made of sand or some other porous material. The pattern is placed in the mold, and the sprue wax is used to create a channel, or sprue, through which the molten metal can be poured. The mold is then placed in a flask and surrounded with more sand or other material to hold it in place.

Once the mold is prepared, the molten metal is poured into the sprue and allowed to cool. As the metal cools, it solidifies and takes the shape of the cavity in the mold. Once the metal has cooled and solidified, the mold is broken away to reveal the finished casting.
